Hokulea World Cup
France has claimed the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. But while the world is still catching it's breath from all the action, goals and glory, here at Camp Hokulea we are just getting started with our own Hokulea World Cup kicking off this week.
Gearing up for the tournament our campers have been training hard in our sports sessions building on core soccer skills for all ages and abilities. Last week we were joined by U.K coaches from Challenger Sports as our campers trained in the rain. Early on this week we trained at the Kokokahi YWCA facility playing scrimmages as well as at our Hawaii Pacific University Loa Campus location. Our campers concentrated on core skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, attacking, defending, and team play.
Teams will kick off this week playing the beautiful game in a tournament style competition to see which team has what it takes to lift the trophy during our Friday Aloha games.
