PARENTS PROGRAM

Philosophy

The most ironic truth about the human experience is that nobody is fully prepared for parenthood. We are all rookies when the most important task of our lives is thrust upon us. As the first one gets older and the second joins humanity, a new set of challenges confound even the most prepared parent. At Camp Hokulea, we understand that parents need a helping hand. We will invite guest speakers and experts on child care to offer a series of seminars and lectures to make sense of the chaos that is raising kids.

Parents of younger children (7-9) are required to join Camp Hokulea and will room together with their children. While children are participating in camp activities, parents can choose to participate in morning activities such as yoga, golf, tennis, and personal training or arrange other activities. A concierge team will be available to arrange such activities. They can give parents advice on everything from secluded beaches to the nearest outlet mall. Two seminars will be held, one during Session 1 and another on Session 2, to discuss a range of issues involving children’s education and development.

Parents of older children (10-12) are asked to send their children alone to camp to encourage independent learning as well as team building. If you are still interested in attending the camp, please contact us for further information.
